Authors Roger and Ella Morris, a husband and wife duo, live and work in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. Both are natives of West Virginia. Roger Morris is a food, wine, and travel writer who has written for various publications, including The Hunt, Saveur and epicurious.com. Ella Morris is a professional photographer, painter, and digital artist.

The Brandywine Book of the Seasons includes delicious seasonal recipes while exploring the culinary culture of the Brandywine Valley. The book includes more than 45 illustrated recipes, taken by Ella Morris and a foreword by Colman Andrews, co-founder of Saveur and current Gourmet restaurant columnist. Stories about various winemakers, chefs, and farmers are also included in the book
