Here are three wines perfect for the dawning spring. Despite the date, we assure you these suggestions are no prank.

Firesteed Pinot Noir 2008: This Oregon pinot is a bright, easy-to-drink, medium-bodied red wine with exuberant cherry and berry flavors and aromas. It pairs splendidly with a nice duck breast in an orange sauce or with a stuffed pork loin. It retails for approximately $14.99.

Dancing Coyote Albarino 2009: This Californian wine is estate-grown and 100% Albarino. This is unique because the Albarino is typically grown in Spain. This Spanish grape produces a light, dry wine with delicate aromas of honeyed peach and a crisp, fresh finish. It is a great spring wine to enjoy while relaxing on the porch. It pairs with foods such as roasted chicken breast with thyme and sea bass topped with pineapple chutney. This wine runs about $15.99.

Entrada Malbec 2009: This Argentinean Malbec is a full-bodied, yet easy-to-drink example of what wine-making is best know for in Mendoza. It features berry and plum, mingled with a hint of warm spice flavors.  It drinks well on its own or paired with anything from a vegetable pizza to a grilled flank steak with a horseradish cream sauce. $8.99 is the standard price for this wine.
