The Ellsworth Kelly: Sculpture on the Wall exhibit runs from May 4 through September 2, 2013 and features one of Kelly’s most famous works, Sculpture for a Large Wall (1956-57), which is on loan from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). This exhibit coincides with the first anniversary of the Barnes opening on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pa.

Ellsworth Kelly is noted for his deep interest in European modernists, such as Cezanne, Matisse, and Picasso. In addition, his work explores the connections between art and architecture, form and color, light and shadow, and figure and ground. The Ellsworth Kelly: Sculpture on the Wall exhibit combines with the Barnes collection, which celebrates each of the aesthetic elements on which Kelly focused.

The exhibition press review is Tuesday, April 30, from 10am-2pm, with the exhibit opening on May 4 and concluding on September 2, 2013. For more information on this incredible exhibit and how to purchase tickets, visit barnesfoundation.org or call 215.278.7000.
