25th Annual Forget-Me-Not Gala

Cuyler and Katie Walker host the 25th annual Forget-Me-Not Gala on June 10, 2012 from 5 to 8pm on their beautiful, historic farm in Unionville.

Featuring live music, dancing, and culinary delights, the Forget-Me-Not Gala celebrates and supports the work of Chester County’s SPCA. Registration for this event must be completed by June 6, and can be done at Chester County’s SPCA webpage.

Cuyler Walker, the event host, describes the great cause behind this fun-filled evening: “The Chester County SPCA is a great organization and is really appreciated across the county. They provide an invaluable service by reuniting animals with their families, taking care of animals in need, and finding new homes for lost or abandoned pets.”

This year, the Forget-Me-Not Gala hosts Emmy Award-winning news journalist and NBC10 anchor Emcee Dawn Timmeney, music by Younger Than Charlie, and artist John Hannafin, who will donate a painting to the silent auction and will have a showing of his work. The Gala also features culinary delights, a traditional carriage parade, commemorative portraits by Gifford Photography, a U.S. Customs canine demonstration, and a silent auction.

Serving as a beautiful backdrop for the Gala is Cuyler and Katie Walker’s historic Rolling Plains farm. “Our old stone farmhouse was built in mid 1800s. It overlooks rolling fields of Chester County. Much of the land in this part of the county has been preserved, so the area retains the rural character it would have had 100-200 years ago,” said Cuyler Walker. A testament to its majestic charm, the Walker estate has appeared in several blockbuster films. “M. Night Shyamalan shot scenes at the farm that were used in two of his films, ‘The Happening” and ‘The Last Airbender,” ” said Walker.

The 25th annual Forget-Me-Not Gala is an evening of delight that supports the important work of the SPCA. For more information and registration, visit the Chester County’s webpage here.
