New Castle Historical Society Focuses on Fashion

Share

The Way We Wore: Over 100 Years of the Feminine Silhouette is presented by the New Castle Historical Society in partnership with the State of Delaware’s Division of Historical & Cultural Affairs.

Historic costume expert Karen Jesse explores more than 150 years of fashion using both authentic and reproduction garments. The modeled fashions come from private collections as well as the historical society’s own collection. Come see what was fashionable for your mother and grandmother.

Enjoy an afternoon of champagne and chocolate with modeled fashions from private collectors and the collection of the New Castle Historical Society.

The event takes place at the Buena Vista Conference Center in New Castle. Tickets are $30, and must be reserved by calling 302.322.2794, or you can reserve them online by clicking here.
