2019 Radnor Hunt Races Beneficiares and Sponsors

Radnor Hunt Races

Celebrating 89 wonderful years in 2019, the Radnor Hunt Races are built on many traditions—thoroughbred horses at the peak of athleticism, beautiful horse-drawn carriages, dramatic flowered hats, and families cheering along the rail. Above all else is the legacy of protecting the stunning open spaces that make the Brandywine Valley such a beautiful place to call home.

Over the last 40 years, the Radnor Hunt Races has benefited the Brandywine Conservancy, whose work over the past 50 years has focused on protecting water and preserving the breathtaking landscapes, rich history and active farmland surrounding the Brandywine Creek. With the help of the races and many likeminded partners, the Conservancy has protected over 65,000 acres of open space and continues to improve and safeguard water quality along the Brandywine Creek—starting at its source in Honey Brook, Pa., and traveling downstream to provide clean drinking water for over half a million residents in Wilmington, Del.

The Conservancy works closely with private landowners who wish to see their lands protected forever. It also provides innovative land use and environmental planning services to municipalities and other governmental agencies.

A very special thanks to BNY Mellon, presenting sponsor, for 35 years of support.
